Quotas measures world-wide transit times for Swiss Post International
Quotas has been chosen by Swiss Post International to conduct a measurement of international transit times.
For this and the coming year Quotas measures the transit times for a monthly volume of several thousand of test letters on behalf of Swiss Post International. These are sent from different locations of Swiss Post International within Europe to Quotas panelists in more than 25 countries.
Economy and Priority service as well as different letter formats, ranging from standard format (petit) to maxi format (encombrant) are tested. For a more focused view on single stretches of the logistic chain selected links additionally contain RFID transponders.
For transport as well as for distribution Swiss Post International is cooperating with different partners. With the measurement of transit times both the logistic process as a whole and the respective sub-processes is monitored. The insights gained will serve for the improvement of the logistic processes for the benefit of the customers.
